Sustainable Agriculture Technology (SAT) is a local NGO implementing wildlife conservation and livelihoods projects.

Job description

  • Coordinate and manage a consortium of project partners in line with workplans, MEAL plan and budgets;
  • Provide backstopping to partners on technical and financial issues;
  • Develop and maintain the Operational Manual;
  • Develop and maintain the accounting system in accordance with the Operational Manual and donor guidelines;
  • Ensure all required technical and financial reporting is submitted in full and on time;
  • Perform regular internal audits and compliancy checks.
  • Verify the accuracy of all financial data with the standard norms and ensure all transactions are recorded in the appropriate files;
  • Maintain proper control of the project accounts in line with budgets and cashflows;
  • Prepare requests for payment and all necessary documentation;
  • Review and verify all requests for payments from partners;
  • Prepare on the basis of information transmitted by the different partners, all contracts between the project and contractors;
  • Review all employment contracts and ensure adherence to labour regulations;
  • Implement code of conduct for SAT staff;
  • Provide training to staff and partners;
  • Oversee all labour disputes and HR issues

Qualifications and experience

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Project Management, or any other related field;
  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar role in the NGO Sector;
  • Prior experience with USAID and EU projects of up to $4 million per contract;
  • Proficiency in Pastel & Bellina

  • Prior experience with USAID and EU projects;
  • Strong, traceable references;
  • Outstanding organisational, record-keeping and coordination abilities;
  • Good communication skills - both written and verbal;
  • Proficiency in MS Office
