Job Description
Location: HARARE (2), MUTARE (1), MASVINGO (1), GWERU (1), ZVISHAVANE (1), LUPANE(1), GWANDA (1), BULAWAYO (2), BINDURA (1) and CHINHOYI (1)
Duration of internship: 12 Months
Summary of responsibilities
The Graduate inten will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of activities programmes for young people in resource centres and communities in their areas of operation.
Duties:
- Pro-actively contribute to day-to-day project implementation activities according to approved project work-plans.
- Prepare activity reports in a prescribed required format.
- Provide support as required to project/programme operations at Provincial level.
- Attend meetings and prepare minutes or summaries of the proceedings.
- Perform office and other administrative support routines as and when assigned by the supervisor.
- Assist in the planning and organizing key provincial activities.
- Collection of program related data and statistics.
- Provide psycho-social support (Including tele-counselling) to young people who will be using the resource centre.
- Follow-up on SRH and GBV cases at provincial level.
- Coordinating young people’s structures such as Peer Educators, Mugota, TB Champions. SRHR Defenders and Web for life at provincial level.
- Perform any other duties assigned in pursuit of the SAVWHAT vision and mission.
Applicant Specifications:
Educational and Professional Qualifications
- Recent graduate degree holders in Development Studies, Social Work, Sociology, Psychology or any related social science qualification;
- Peer Education Training is an added advantage.
Requirements
- All aspiring candidates must be: Proficient in English and at least 2 main local languages.
- A Driver’s License is an added advantage
