Job Description
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the posts of 2 x Accounts Clerk which have arisen in our Finance Department at M.E. Charhons (Harare), a division
The Job
Reporting to the Assistant Accountant, the successful applicants will, among other key aspects, be responsible for:
- Providing accounting and clerical support to the accounting department.
- Maintaining and reconciling cashbooks to bank statements.
- Typing, preparing, filing and maintaining payment documents and records.
- Preparing bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements.
- Printing and filing of month end reports.
- Processing receipts and payments into Sage 1000 including capturing bank statements.
- General Ledger analysis for tax purposes, i.e. VAT and Income Tax.
- Preparing loan reconciliations.
- Requesting bank statements from banks.
The Person
The ideal applicants should possess the following minimum qualifications and attributes:
- Degree in Accounting or any other relevant qualification.
- A minimum of 2 years related work experience.
- Excellent computer skills.
- High levels of accuracy.
