Job Description

Two vacancies have arisen for graduate trainees who will initiate livestock projects and contribute to the development of good management practices at a farm in Chirumanzu. Suitable candidates for the positions shall be graduates from Agricultural colleges in Zimbabwe aged 25 years or younger, who completed their studies in 2021 or 2022, with good grades in livestock, farm management and agribusiness courses. The candidates need to have recommendations letters from their college-mentors and/or instructors. The positions require persons with the following:

Personal attributes:

In-depth knowledgeable of livestock production systems (piggery, poultry, rabbitry, and dairy)
A good balance between theory and practical application
Good communications skills and report writing
Farm budgets and petty cash management skills
Willing to lea new technologies (data driven agriculture and Al)
Good character, honest, and respectful with well-groomed manners
Of Christian background
Familiar with farm-to-fork concepts
Understanding of mixed farming and sustainable practices
Good humor and friendly
Emotionally balanced
Responsible, highly organized, and willing to take leadership roles
Knowledge of how a Trust operates

Educational and other qualifications:

Diploma in Agriculture
O-level / A-level passes
Driver’s license or proof of provisional license
Computer literacy and social media skills
Training in marketing will be an added advantage
