Job Description
Location: HARARE
Duration of internship: 12 MONTHS
Summary of responsibilities
Responding to callers in need of psycho-social support and providing health information to young People in the community.
Duties:
- Provide tele-counselling to adolescents, young people and proactively respond to their concerns
- Facilitate referrals for all clinical and non-clinical services to relevant service providers.
- Compile case reports for all cases (Case Documentation)
- Follow up on dropped calls, pending cases and respond to messages from clients.
- Compile and submit quality, and accurate reports as required by line manager.
- Participate in awareness campaigns for children and young people within the community.
- Maintain an accurate record of all calts, activities, and correspondence.
Applicant Specifications:
Educational and Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor of Social Science degree in Social Work or Psychology.
- Registration with the Council of Social Workers is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of technical areas such as sexual reproductive health, SGBY, child protection and work with youth is an added advantage.
Skills
- Written and spoken proficiency in English, Shona & / Ndebele.
- Good interpersonal skills, including team work and strong networking skills.
