Job Description

At National Foods, we pride ourselves in providing college learners with internships to give them hands-on experience in their respective fields of study. An opportunity has arisen to join our National Foods Retail Team as an Accounting Intern. As the Accounts Intern, you will enjoy working within a small team of accounting professionals, reporting to the Credit Controller, providing accurate and timely support in the section.

The successful incumbent will be responsible for:

Uploading/capturing payments into the system.
Ensuring batches captured have been authorized.
Preparing end of day reconciliation.
Identifying unallocated payments for follow up with banks.
Advising customers on the information that they need to supply when making payments.
Handling customer queries on payments.
Keeping a database of queries solved and the outcomes.
Preparing exception reports

Requirements:

Pursuing a degree in Accounting / Finance or equivalent
