Our client is looking for an Actuarial Analyst to join their team. The candidate will responsible for producing quantitative and qualitative analytical data required to assess the risk of existing and potential group business.be must have the ability to familiarize oneself with new software platforms. .

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

Responsible for producing quantitative and qualitative analytical data required to assess the risk of existing and potential group business.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyses data and assess the risk in existing and new business, to inform decision making.
  • Prepares and analyses ratings for new and existing business
  • Carries out statutory validation, data checks & verification, validations for assets, identifying liabilities and risks
  • Assists Actuaries with technical support and analysis
  • Produce reports on analysis findings
  • Provides support in design and pricing of insurance policies
  • Develop processes for improved data analysis and reporting
  • Provide research and baseline data to review the pricing of new and existing products, financial reporting, analyzing statistics for the group.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.

  • Minimum-Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science or equivalent
  • Certified by acclaimed Actuarial body/institution/s
  • 2+ years of relevant experience (corporate actuarial environment)

COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

  • Exceptional mathematical and statistical knowledge and understanding
  • Knowledge, calculus, statistics, probability
  • Analytical, meticulous, problem-solving skills
  • Good understanding of finance, accounting, economics
  • Good communication skills (oral & written)
  • Basic knowledge of laws, legal codes, industry regulations
  • Ability to follow instructions, contribute constructively and work with teams
