If you’re passionate about Making Life Better we invite you to apply for our exciting vacant position of Agriculture Risk Officer that has arisen within the General Insurance division.

The Job:

Provide technical support to field assessors, underwriting and claims teams
Conduct surveys and inspections of all crop and livestock risks
Represent the company at agricultural shows, farmers/field days and other relevant forums to build a good customer relationship and retention
Crop Loss adjustments
Assist the Agronomist with tobacco assessments
Small scale farm supervision
Facilitate the resolution of technical queries raised by reinsurers
Any other relevant duties as may be assigned from time

The Person:

A Bachelors degree in Agriculture crop science or equivalent
5 years in the agriculture business with at least 2 years insurance experience
Excellent interpersonal, communication, prioritisation and negotiating skills
Good analytical skills
Strong morale standing
Ability to be a team player
Clean class 4 Driver’s license ability to ride a Motor Cycle is an added advantage
Excellent and demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail
