What’s the Role?

The Area Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing overall productivity and effectiveness of the sales team and for ensuring coordination and effectiveness of processes of the support function.

This includes planning, reporting, quota setting and management, sales process optimization, support function process optimization, compensation design and administration, recruiting and selection as per Hilti standard and within Partner Process.

What does the role involve?

As the Area Sales Manager, you are responsible for preparing, planning and forecasting revenue and investment once a year leveraging Market trend for validation by Partner and Hilti. You will direct and support the consistent implementation of Forecasted plan and company initiatives, as well as drive and coordinate sales and support function processes across department as per Hilti Standards. You will plan and manage sales territories, achievement of targets based on profitable potential and effective sales territory management, ensuring sales team members familiar with their territory.

You will be responsible for managing a balanced partner relationship between Hilti and the Local Partner/Representative. Day to day, you will ensures implementation of high level of service to final customer with up to date Repair Center equipment, processes and competence, secure in market availability with replenishment process within defined product portfolio for the market and ensure timely collection of all the dues / overdues.

You will partner with Engineering, Finance, Marketing, Logistics and other members of the Sales Management team to ensure a consistent approach to business; additionally, you will support META Partners EMT through execution of sales/commercial projects.

Finally, you will provide leadership to your team members, as well as focusing on their continued development to build a high performing team.

What you need is:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering Degree is advantageous)
  • Previous professional sales experience
  • Willingness to relocate to Zimbabwe
  • Ability to thrive both independently and in a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to develop engaged customer relationships
  • Excellent time management skills
  • To be persuasive, sales driven, and customer focused
  • Proficiency in English – written and verbal
