Job Description

We are searching for a highly dependable and passionate high school teacher to join our school, preferably a lady. Good in teaching business studies and geography

Responsibilities

• Develop lesson plans in the said subjects and ensure that all lessons align with curriculum objectives.
• Provide additional support and interventions for struggling learners and extra resources for those who are ahead of the class.
• Drawing up classroom rules and safety regulations and ensuring that all learners understand them.
• Preparing learners for tests, exams, presentations, experiments, and other assessments.
• Grading assessments and providing feedback and reports to learners and parents.
• Attending staff and parent meetings to provide helpful recommendations or voice concerns.
• Supervising learners in class, during events, and on field trips.
• Monitoring learners’ overall well-being and liaising with the school authorities where there are concerns or issues.
• Attending ongoing learning initiatives like workshops, conferences, and other events where you are able to expand education networks.
• Resolve class conflicts and respond well to criticism
• Use learner-centered approaches and take note of learners’ differences.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in the subject and a teaching qualification.
• At least 3 years of teaching experience
• Must be able to teach up to A-level Cambridge curriculum
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent time management, planning, and organizational skills.
• Resilience and positive attitude.
• The ability to stand for long periods of time
• Superb interpersonal, written, and verbal communication
• The ability to establish rapport and build professional relationships with adolescents
• A high degree of professionalism
• A growth mindset
• Ability to coach one sporting discipline
