Job Description

Our client in the mining industry seeks to engage the services of a dynamic, self-driven, qualified and seasoned individual for the vacancy of Chief Human Resources Officer that has arisen within the organisation. The incumbent will be part of the executive
team, responsible for crafting the corporate vision and strategic objectives.

Job Purpose and description

  • Reporting to the CEO, the incumbent will be responsible for supporting the overall strategic business objectives through the provision of comprehensive and holistic human resources services.
  • Oversee the implementation of human resources programs designed to attract, develop, retain, and manage staff.
  • Leverage the organisation’s human resources capabilities to achieve competitive advantage and staff well-being.
  • Superintendent over the design. review, administration of policies and practices that foster high-quality employment relationships, superior stakeholder satisfaction. and inculcate a high-performance culture within the organisation.

Person Specifications

  • Must have a relevant Human Resources Management/Social Science Degree or equivalent.
  • An MBA or MBL degree is an added advantage.
  • Membership to a recognized professional association or board.
  • At least 10 years of proven experience in a leadership role in a mining or related environment; of which 5 years should be at the senior management level.
  • Demonstrable experience in strategic human resources management.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
