About

ProFuturo’s Project Supervisor provides overall leadership in the implementation of the ProFuturo project. He/She will be responsible for project representation, staff performance management, correct execution of the deployment model and reporting in line with expected project deliverables.

Duties and responsibilities

Deployment strategy

  • Develop implementation strategy of ProFuturo’s Solution based digital learning in line with Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education policies and guidelines on digital learning;
  • Oversee the overall implementation of the ProFuturo Project ensuring that project objectives are met within the required time frame and budget;
  • Identify opportunities for new alliances, both institutional and operational to expand ProFuturo learning platform;
  • Propose key elements for brand positioning and communication;
  • Identify possible risks in the project’s implementation.

Project deployment

  • Review capacity needs of pre-identified schools for the project;
  • Review the feasibility of the project and estimate resources needed for their deployment;
  • Develop project work plan in collaboration with local stakeholders, MoPSE and supporting NGO partners;
  • Coordinate equipment distribution to meet project timelines;
  • Ensure that the project complements the ongoing education interventions in the area and the refugee camp;
  • Coordinate with ProFuturo technical experts addressing any software and hardware challenges.

Project management and leadership

  • Conduct regular status meetings with ProFuturo’s coaches, keeping the project’s status, needs and requirements continuously in view;
  • Report project progress, budget and status to ProFuturo’s Team and recommend corrective action when necessary;
  • Facilitate learning sessions with the coaches, school heads, MoPSE – Curriculum Development Unit so they can share best practices;
  • Proactively identify challenges, barriers, areas of opportunity and implement solutions;
  • Develop strategic plans and objectives that ensure the program’s continued success, and develops evaluation methods to assess outcomes;
  • Maintain complete and accurate project records;
  • Provide administrative oversight on project staff performance management;
  • Support capacity development of project coaches;
  • Ensure performance reviews are carried out by the coaches.

Monitoring and evaluation

  • Develop and lead in the process of reviewing the project M&E plan;
  • Develop assessment tools for regular project monitoring;
  • Prepare, review and approve high-quality, written project status reports, updates, summaries, and other documents;
  • Ensure visibility of ProFuturo’s project and mission.

Qualifications and experience

  • Masters’ degree in Education / Social Science Advanced degree with an ICT postgraduate qualification;
  • At least 5 years’ experience in developing and managing education programmes;
  • Proficient in conducting education assessments and reporting;
  • Experience in utilising digital learning platforms, radio lessons and other forms of alternative learning;
  • Participated in contend development for the Ministry Of Primary and Secondary Education;
  • Class 4 Driver’s licence.

Desirable

  • Experience with e-learning platforms;
  • ICT Knowledge – basic office packages including basic excel user (xls);
  • Proficient in facilitating adult training;
  • Highly knowledgeable of education policy in Zimbabwe including issues of digital learning.
