Job Description

The Environmental,Social and Governance (ESG) Officer is responsible for coordinating the environmental and social risk management initiatives and the compliance to law and regulatory requirements. The Officer will assist in enhancing, implementing, monitoring of organizational ESG policy and related management tools and systems.

Major Responsibilities

  • Assist in reviewing operational activities and ensure compliance with ESG, laws, regulations, Policies and Procedures.
  • Participate in ESG data collection, evaluation and trend analysis.
  • Work with various Business Units to identify ESG related risks.
  • Select, implement and maintain a technology solution to capture ESG disclosures from source systems across the bank.
  • Assist in mapping the bank’s ESG report and disclosures and other corporate reporting to relevant standards (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD, UNGC)
  • Liaise with key stakeholders and investors on ESG commitments.
  • Assist with daily, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting.
  • Provide advisory consultation to clients upon request regarding topics relating to sustainability and ESG.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Natural Resources Management, Social discipline, ESG, Environmental, Health and Safety management Systems, or related education.
  • Work experience in Environment, Social and Governance or related or experience in corporate sustainability.
  • Experience in measuring and reporting on social and environmental impacts of projects.
  • Passion for helping to build a better planet
