Job Description

We have been retained by our client to facilitate the recruitment and selection of self-driven and competent personnel to fill the vacant position of Finance Manager that has arisen within their organization.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Manages cost control by allocating petty cash properly in accordance with policy and procedures to prevent misuse of money and conducting monthly ratio analyses in comparison to the budget and forecast.
• Controls cash flow in order to comprehend the organization’s financial needs and make sure that obligations are met on schedule.
• Recognizes how departments and procedures must report in order to deliver accurate, useful information that is specific to organizational needs.
• Responds appropriately to ad hoc requests or enquiries from departments to enable a seamless flow of business.
• Determines the training requirements for departmental staff in order to fill in any development gaps and crucial areas, and coordinates with the Human Resources department to include these requirements in the training plan.
• Handles the creation of external financial reporting and audit documents.
• Directs internal audits involving review of accounting and administrative controls.
• Maintains day to day financial control of the multiple associations and ensure that they are within the budget.

JOB RELATED ATTRIBUTES

The ideal incumbent must possess the following qualifications, competences and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting .
• Relevant master’s degree.
• Chartered Accountant with full qualifications or membership in a professional organization, such as ACCA or CIMA.
• Retail sector Experience is a must.
• 4 years of relevant experience in finance.
• Age of 28-40 years.
• A detail-oriented problem-solver.
• Has experience running an accounting department and with accounting work practices.
• The capacity to plan and rank numerous tasks in accordance with time constraints.
