Job Description

We have been retained by our client to facilitate the recruitment and selection of self-driven and competent personnel to fill the vacant position of a Financial Controller that has arisen within their organization.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

Monitors and implements processes and procedures as per SLA service levels for the Department.
Reviews the weekly dashboard for the Operations Section and communicate key issues to the CFO around Operations.
Approves recommended changes to the Credit Policy based on change in environment and trends noted in the market.
Ensures credit is given to customers within policy and approve any recommended waivers.
Ensures that correct processes and procedures are followed in vetting, approval and disconnection of customers within the credit control department.
Reviews debtors reconciliations, provision workings and reconciliations.
Approve product pricing and price changes made in the system, and subsequently review the price changes audit trail report
Reviews all monthly inventory reconciliations.
Reviews the monthly capital projects schedules.
Reviews analysis of monthly revenue performance and identify revenue buckets that have been understated.
Reviews input into VAT Output and reconciliation of Special Excise Duty.
Reviews monthly analysis of network costs spend and recommend areas of efficiency to Networks.
Reviews monthly revenue, cost of sales and receivables reconciliations.
Reviews and assesses assumption used in computing the rehabilitation provision
Reviews and approves daily flash revenue report.
Approves payments to the banks within determined threshold.
Approves all journals and billing adjustments posted into Oracle and the billing system for Debtors.

JOB RELATED ATTRIBUTES

The ideal incumbent must possess the following qualifications and experience:

Chartered Accountant or equivalent
Post graduate qualification (MBA/MSC} will be an advantage
6 to 8 years’ experience in a similar or related environment, with a minimum of 2 years in a Management position
