Job Description

Location: Harare

Our client in the Construction Consulting sector wishes to fill the position of Group Accountant which has arisen. The Accountant is required to have knowledge of the Company’s documented Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Book-keeping and accounting for the Company, and generating accounting reports timeously

Duties & Responsibilities

Perform weekly and monthly bank reconciliations
Prepare payments vouchers for review by the Finance Director
Attend to tax registration of Property Development projects and facilitate transfers of Properties to buyers
Preparation of all tax returns for the Company and submission to ZIMRA
Supervision of accounts clerk and training in areas of need
Preparation of annual budget and submission to the Finance Director for review
Liaising with Company auditors on annual and interim audits

Requirements

Proficient knowledge of the different accounting packages
At least 5 years of working experience in a similar role
A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
A Chartered Accountant or an Articled Accountant who has spent at least 4 years in an audit firm.
