Job Description

NetOne Cellular (Private) Limited seeks to engage a self-driven and results oriented professional to fill the critical role of Head Enterprise Risk and Loss Control.

Responsibility

The incumbent will report to the Group Chief Executive Officer.

Key Job Purpose

The Head Enterprise Risk and Loss Control will be responsible for leading and overseeing the Risk Management and Loss Control activities across all functions of the organization.

Principal Job Accountabilities

• Develop and Implement the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Framework.
• Implement robust, structured and explicit risk management practices anchored around the Enterprise Risk Management Framework across the organization.
• Analyze the organizations strategic goals and objectives and align them to the ERM framework.
• Document the ERM framework and get approvals from Executive Management and the Risk Board Committee.
• Analyze the organizations objectives and environment and identify risks that are relevant to the business.
• Establish and document the Enterprise Risk Management Plan.
• Regularly assess and analyze emerging risks and evaluate their potential impact on the business and its operations.
• Monitor and report on key risk indicators to Executive Management and the Board of Directors to enable informed decision-making,
• Embed new ERM principles and capabilities across the Organization with the aim to build up “a culture of risk” and embed risk management awareness and consistent practices.
• Review the Enterprise Risk Management plan quarterly for relevance in line with changes in risks, organization set-up or policy and regulation changes.
• Promote best practices in risk management, develop and implement risk management strategies and policies to mitigate identified risks.
• Implementing measures and controls to prevent and minimize the occurrence of losses.
• Provide guidance to Loss Control investigations, inspections and security measures for protection of the Organization’s assets.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory developments and emerging risks.
• Collaborate with functional heads to enhance risk awareness and facilitate risk identification at various levels.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the Risk Management and Loss Control teams.

Qualifications and Experience

• Must be a holder of a first degree in Economics, Risk Management, Finance, Commerce, Technology or any relevant discipline.
• Enterprise Risk Management and Loss Control Management Certification.
• Post graduate degree will have an added advantage.
• At least 7 years of experience in Risk Management in comparable leadership roles.
• Proven track record of designing and implementing Enterprise-wide Risk Management frameworks and methodologies.
• Previous experience reporting to Boards or Senior Executive Management Committees.

• Extensive expertise and knowledge of Enterprise Risk Management and Loss Control Management.
• Excellent communication skills including written, verbal and presentations skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate and mitigate risks while driving business growth and innovation.
• Ability to present data and information in a meaningful format to be actioned and to support decision making.
• Must be self-motivated and proactive in taking initiatives,
• Be empathic, enthusiastic and passionate about working in ERM culture.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.
• Ability to uphold ethical standards and values.
