Job Description

NetOne Cellular (Private) Limited seeks to engage a professional with the right credentials to fill the critical role of Head Financial Control.

Responsibility

The incumbent will report to the Chief Finance Officer.

Key Job Purpose

The Head Financial Control will be responsible for management of treasury activities and overseeing the company budget. The incumbent will also be responsible for accurate financial reporting and implementing effective internal controls. Principal Job

Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial statements in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements and tax regulations.
  • Provide oversight over monthly and annual financial reporting activities, including supervising general ledger reconciliations.
  • Perform treasury management activities including providing direct oversight over the company’s liquid resources.
  • Monitor internal processes and implement necessary updates to ensure processes and procedures continue to support the business.
  • Coordinate the year end audit process. • Assist in the preparation of tax returns and other regulatory filings, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Monitor and analyse business volumes and financial data to support enhancement of business performance.
  • Provide oversight over budgeting, and financial planning.
  • Maintain proper documentation and record keeping for all financial transactions and reports.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Must be a holder of an Accounting Degree or equivalent.
  • Must be a qualified Chartered Accountant.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ relevant work experience, of which 3 years should have been at a Managerial level.

Competencies

  • The incumbent must be highly analytical and able to pay close attention to detail.
  • Must have hands on experience in financial management and business process development.
  • Must have a thorough understanding of market trends and related dynamics and be able to advise management accordingly.
