Job Description

Reporting to: The Group Chief Executive Officer

The Head of Group Marketing will be responsible for the following:

  • Responsible for planning, developing and implementing all marketing strategies, communication and public relations activities, both external and internal for the Zimre Holdings Group
  • Formulate and Administer marketing policies that ensure the integrity and viability of the Zimre Holdings Group
  • Prepare the short term and long-term budget for marketing, communication and public relations.
  • Ensure that market responsive products and services are developed for the group.
  • Ensure that appropriate marketing activities that bring in new business are put in place for the Zimre Holdings Group.
  • Responsible in marketing of media assets through promotions and events, using new and innovative marketing methods.
  • Responsible for the use of integrated channels to attract customers and increase their awareness.
  • Planning and coordinating marketing efforts and strengthening brand awareness.
  • Oversees marketing, communications and public relations efforts.
  • Develop and review client communications and strategy
  • Uses analytics to identify suitable channels for targeted customers, and review marketing activities and the return on investment (ROI).
  • Responsible for providing the editorial direction, design, production and distribution of all marketing material. This includes coordinating the appearance of all the groups print and electronic material.
  • Builds good relationships with key strategic partners and is able to work within given budgets.
  • Works with key partners to ensure alignment with the organization plans.
  • Should be customer-centric with good business knowledge.

The ideal candidate should have the following minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Marketing or equivalent.
  • A post-— graduate qualification is an added advantage
  • Professional qualification such as IMM/CIM.
  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in the financial and commercial services sector.
  • Proven marketing experience.
  • Ability to apply marketing techniques, digital and non-digital channels. Solid understanding of market research and data analytical techniques.
  • Ability to achieve results through effective people management.
