Job Description

We have been exclusively retained by our client, a well established manufacturer and supplier of fast moving consumer goods in the agro-processing industry to assist with the recruitment and selection of a suitably qualified Human Resources Officer. The incumbent will be responsible for all HR related functions such as recruitment and selection, training and development, Industrial Relations, rewards management and performance management for all employees in line with the overall Organisation strategy.

The position reports directly to the Human Resources Business Partner.

Key Job Functions:

  • Actively participate in the development and maintenance of effective recruitment processes.
  • Carryout the onboarding process for new employees, including preparing employment contracts and arranging orientation programs.
  • Implement talent identification and succession planning process for key positions.
  • Develop, review and implement Human Resource Policies and Procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant labour laws, rules, regulations and best practices.
  • Fostering a harmonious Industrial Relations climate within the organisation.
  • Conduct training needs assessment and recommend training in conjunction with Line Managers.
  • Conduct disciplinary hearings in line with the requisite statutory provisions.
  • Maintain and update employee records, HR dashboards and metrics.
  • To process Salaries and administer the Payroll.
  • Conducts salaries surveys to keep abreast with best practice as far as reward management is concerned.
  • Conduct exit interviews and process relevant documents for outgoing employees.

Requirements for the Job:

  • Must be a holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in HRM /Social Sciences.
  • IPMZ Diploma.
  • At least 4 years’ relevant experience.
  • Payroll management experience is a requirement.
