About Zimbabwe Investment Development Agency

The Zimbabwe Investment and Development Agency (ZIDA) is the country’s investment promotion agency, responsible for promoting and facilitating both local and foreign investment in the country. It came up as an integration of three investment authorities, which were previously housed in different Government Ministries and Departments. The promulgation of the ZIDA Act, which repealed the Zimbabwe Investment Authority Act; the Special Economic Zones Act; and the Joint Ventures Act, provides a clear and comprehensive legal and regulatory framework for conducting investment activities, by both domestic and foreign investors in the country. ZIDA operates a One Stop Investment Services Centre (OSISC), which provides investment services ranging from investment analysis, company registration, tax registration and clearance, licensing, connecting to all necessary utilities.

PURPOSE:

Provision of aftercare services to investors and ensuring compliance with the ZIDA Act

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establishes an M&E and Aftercare framework for servicing GI, SEZs and PPPs investors
  • Develops a system, for collecting, processing and managing M&E data and processes across GI, SEZs and PPPs projects
  • Designs a schedule for on-site and off-site monitoring of GI, SEZs and PPPs projects
  • Analyzes, tracks and reports findings to the appropriate unit
  • Conducts monitoring and evaluation activities including data collection, systems implementation and database management
  • Manages the investor project servicing programme
  • Liaises with relevant regulatory authorities to ensure excellent investor services
  • Develops an efficient after care programme aimed at supporting and retaining investors

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • A degree in Monitoring and Evaluation, Business Administration or related field
  • A post graduate business qualification such as MBA, MSc, FRM is an added advantage
  • At least 3 years’ work experience at Supervisory level
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Unquestionable integrity
