Job Description

Location: Harare

Job Summary

We require the services of a passionate Logistics person responsible for the coordination of the trucking business’ logistical operations.

Duties and responsibilities

The incumbent will be responsible for the following areas:-

Identifying opportunities and developing potential /new customers.
Maintaining regular contact with existing customers.
Negotiating for Loads
Tracking consignments and keeping the customer updated all the time.
Attending to customer queries expeditiously

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal incumbent should possess the following qualifications and attributes: –

Possession of a Diploma or HND/ Degree in Logistics/ Transport / Fleet Management, Business Management.
Knowledge of trucking business a distinct advantage.
Have knowledge of laws, regulations and requirements related to cross boarder logistics for imports and exports.
At least two years’ relevant experience acquired from relevant environments.
Be able to solve problems and make decisions, track multiple processes; think laterally and offer creative solutions
Must be able to communicate clearly, concisely and persuasively orally and in writing.
Able to work with drivers and other supply chain partners.
Possessing customer relationship management, selling and negotiation skills
Clean Class 4 Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel frequently.
