Job Description

We have been retained by our client to facilitate the recruitment and selection of self-driven and competent personnel to fill the vacant position of Loss Control Officer that has arisen within their organization.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Conducts physical verification and sign off on all Authority to Destroy (ATD) forms for all obsolete stocks including Day Old Chicks.
Verifies all breakages that will be sold at mark down prices.
Liaises with security service providers for all issues around security, ie, issues around security guards, CCTVs, alarms, and safes.
Liaises with insurance service providers for loss compensation.
Liaises with police, lawyers, and the court for all legal matters.
Spearheads loss recoveries through the civil court for losses than can be recovered.
Testifies on behalf of the organization in the court of law.
Spearheads investigations on fraud cases and other special assignments.
Carries out Adhoc cash and inventory spot checks as and when required.

JOB RELATED ATTRIBUTES

The ideal incumbent must possess the following minimum qualifications, competences and experience:

Degree or Diploma in Loss Control/Risk Management and other related qualifications
Should be professionally qualified/studying towards a professional qualification such as CFE.
At least 2 years’ experience as a Loss Control Officer. Retail experience is an added advantage.
Flexible to be resident in any city/town in Zimbabwe.
