Job Description

We have been retained by our client to facilitate the recruitment and selection of self-driven and competent personnel to fill the vacant position of Loss Control Officer that has arisen within their organization.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Conducts physical verification and sign off on all Authority to Destroy (ATD) forms for all obsolete stocks including Day Old Chicks.
  • Verifies all breakages that will be sold at mark down prices.
  • Liaises with security service providers for all issues around security, ie, issues around security guards, CCTVs, alarms, and safes.
  • Liaises with insurance service providers for loss compensation.
  • Liaises with police, lawyers, and the court for all legal matters.
  • Spearheads loss recoveries through the civil court for losses than can be recovered.
  • Testifies on behalf of the organization in the court of law.
  • Spearheads investigations on fraud cases and other special assignments.
  • Carries out Adhoc cash and inventory spot checks as and when required.

JOB RELATED ATTRIBUTES

The ideal incumbent must possess the following minimum qualifications, competences and experience:

  • Degree or Diploma in Loss Control/Risk Management and other related qualifications
  • Should be professionally qualified/studying towards a professional qualification such as CFE.
  • At least 2 years’ experience as a Loss Control Officer. Retail experience is an added advantage.
  • Flexible to be resident in any city/town in Zimbabwe.
