Job Description

Our client, a leading provider of medical aid solutions is looking for a suitably qualified Medical Doctor to join their team.

Reports directly to the General Manager/Medical Director.

The incumbent will perform the following duties, among others:

Conducts patient assessments and reviews medical histories.
Interprets diagnostic tests and imaging studies as needed.
Provides counselling and education to patients on preventive healthcare measures and lifestyle modifications.
Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
Maintains accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.
Participates in ongoing quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits.
Stays abreast with the current medical research and advancements in healthcare to inform evidence-based practice.
Case management, reviews patient applications, claims and diagnoses.
Assisting with emergency medical cases including evacuations.

Qualifications, Experience and Competencies

Degree in Medicine from an accredited medical school and must be a practicing Medical Doctor.
Valid registration papers with relevant authorities in Zimbabwe.
Certification in family medicine or a relevant specialty is an added advantage.
At least 7 years relevant experience in primary care, outpatient, or community health settings.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and computer skills.
