Job Description

The Group wishes to invite applications from suitably qualified & experienced individuals to fill in the Medical Laboratory Scientist – Graduate Trainee role that has arisen in our organization.

The Role

Participates in the training programme as required by the Medical Laboratory and Clinical Scientist Council of Zimbabwe (MLCSCZ) in preparation for the open practising certificate evaluation.
Develops knowledge and skills within each competency area as indicated on the Medical Laboratory and Clinical Scientist Council of Zimbabwe training programme.
Receives and processes patient samples according to standard operating procedures under supervision.
Participates in quality assurance and quality control activities according to ISO 15189 standard.
Possess good leadership and communication skills in preparation for future role as a qualified Laboratory Scientist if successful.
Maintains confidentiality of information concerning patients and staff in accordance with the Cimas confidentiality policy.

The Person

Undergraduate degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences (2.1 or better)
Valid practising certificate
