Job Description

Cassava Smartech Is looking for a versatile and dynamic Merchants Payments Manager to join its EcoCash team. The main purpose of the position to drive the business in its merchant’s payments for both businesses and consumers by creating and formulating partnerships with merchants, banks, card schemes and payment service providers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops and compiles various reports daily, weekly, and monthly to measure performance in comparison to targets.
  • Maintains channel partner information sharing with various stakeholders to assist in driving growth of Ecocash wallet share within their value chains.
  • Develops proposed synergies with channel partners through customised solutions to different sectors or top key merchants after referrals by the sales team or assessing market needs.
  • Performs research on latest technologies and provides input to support strategy formulation of the enterprise payments.
  • Works with all relevant development teams, internal or external, to manage and deliver on merchant services and payments vision, development and continued improvements.
  • Supports market intelligence efforts and proposes merchant services & payments adjustments accordingly.
  • Oversees the management of key customer relationships as a way of future revenue assurance.
  • Recommends channel development, use cases and pricing initiatives with the aim of inducing product usage.
  • Coordinates relevant stakeholders in defining scope of Ecocash business requirements.
  • Ensures effective and smooth closing of projects by proving final deliverables, release project resources and determine success of the project.
  • Supports market intelligence efforts and proposes merchant services & payments adjustments accordingly.

Qualification, Skills and Experience

  • A Commercial degree or equivalent is a must.
  • A professional qualification in Banking or Commerce is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 2 – 4 years’ experience in a similar or related environment.
  • Honesty & integrity is a must.
