Job Description

JOB PURPOSE

The position contributes to the implementation of the Mine strategy, in alignment with the Company’s long-term strategy. The position also ensures continued growth of the mine and maximization of operational efficiencies, safety, cost management and profitability.

JOB RELATED ATTRIBUTES

BSc (Hons) Mining Engineering
At least 15 years Mining management experience of which at least 10 years should be in Open Pit mining operations
Be in possession of Full Blasting License
Demonstrable experience in managing Mining Contractors a must
Experience in Gold ore deposits very essential.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and be capable of developing lateral and practical solutions.
Demonstrable understanding and interpretation of applicable legislation and Mining Regulations
Good understanding of the Mine value chain and affected stakeholders
Clean Class 4 Driver’s Licence
