Unki Mines (Private) Limited, invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the following vacancies which have arisen in the Technical Department. The role is responsible for management of all permitting activities including engagement of all permitting stakeholders to maintain an integrated permitting system.

Our Platinum business mines, processes and refines the entire range of platinum group metals (PGMs): platinum, palladium, rhodium, ruthenium, iridium and osmium. We are the world’s leading primary producer of PGMs, which have a range of specialised applications that improve lives across the world from vehicle fuel cells to jewellery; dentistry to glassmaking; pacemakers to petroleum refining.

Job Description:

Join us as one of our Permitting Officer where you will be responsible for the following:

  • Permit identification, acquisition and renewal planning with stakeholders and execution
  • Maintenance of Permitting Schedule covering Life of Mine and projects
  • Permitting Compliance Monitoring and verification
  • Review and Management of Permitting risks
  • Permitting document control and records management:
  • Capturing and management of all permit data on Permitting IT tool
  • Maintain ISO 45001, ISO14001 and ISO 9001 standards.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma/Degree in a relevant discipline. (Environmental engineer, lawyer, mining engineer, industrial engineer, geologist, Survey)
  • 1 – 2 years mining experience
