Job Description

Applications are invited to fill in the vacant position of Portfolio Manager that has arisen in our Asset Management Division:

The main purpose of this role is to carry out an in-depth analysis of all investment opportunities, and detailed valuation models of all prospective investments.

Reporting to: The General Manager – Research & Investments

The essential duties and responsibilities of this role will include:

Performing analysis and providing investment data analytics
Preparing institutional and high net worth investor performance reports and presentations
Compiling all investment reports, including but not limited to:
- Monthly client newsletter
- Detailed investment analyses and recommendations
- Monthly performance reporting to Stakeholders
Managing the investment research database through ensuring up-to-date investment research information
Developing and maintaining key relationships with clients
Monitoring and analysing recent news, research and economic data for input into decision making or reports
Conducting regular and ad-hoc research projects for internal and external stakeholders
Participating as a member of Internal Investments Review Committee
Managing the development and performance of the Research Team

Qualifications and competencies

A first Degree in Finance; Business Science; Accounting: Actuarial or related field
Progress towards the attainment of a professional qualification (e.g. CFA, CA, FRM)
At least 3 years of relevant & hands-on experience in conducting research for investment decisions. Corporate banking experience will be an added advantage
Be on articulate and effective communicator, both orally and in writing including report writing
Trustworthiness and discretion when handling confidential information
Motivated self-starter who is organized and comfortable with managing their workload
