Who We Are?

With over 20 years of experience, PSI/Zimbabwe now registered as Population Solutions for Health is looking for candidates who hold the requisite qualifications and experience to apply for the exciting position of Project Manager (SMART Girls) – Harare *1 (Full Time).

The position will lead on the coordination of SMART Girls project planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting. The cadre will work with the PSH’s Evidence and Marketing departments and FACT SMART Girls implementation team to correctly deploy and monitor the use of the project’s HCD and digital products/solutions.

Your Contribution – Key Responsibilities.

  • Leads on timely development and deployment of monthly, quarterly, and annual SMART Girls workplans.
  • Coordinates and monitors the implementation of SMART Girls workplans.
  • Represents PSH in SMART Girls meetings.
  • Facilitates the development of monthly, quarterly and annual budgets for SMART Girls project.
  • Ensures the timely funds’ requests and disbursements to support SMART Girls activities.
  • Leads on tracking of SMART Girls expenditures and managing under/overspending.
  • Reviews program expenditures to ensure that expenses are correctly captured and timeously presentedto the donor.
  • Leads the procurement of project equipment and consumables to support planned activities.
  • Supports the PSH field teams with day-to-day coordination of the project.
  • Works with the PSH’s Evidence and Marketing teams to identify operational and programmatic efficiencies to reduce the unit costs of project interventions.
  • Identifies SMART Girls program staff’s capacity development needs to inform effective deployment of HCD and digital solutions.
  • Coordinates regular internal project review meetings for project improvement.
  • Facilitates the development of learning products for dissemination to enable cross learning and adoption of best practices.
  • Ensures responsiveness to donors on programmatic matters.
  • Represents PSH in relevant SMART Girls meetings as delegated by the Project Lead.
  • Documents and track action points from meetings.
  • Performs any other duties assigned by the Project Lead.

What are we looking for?

  • Masters in Development Studies or any relevant degree.
  • At least 7 years’ work experience.
  • Experience in managing projects.
  • Experience in managing AGYW programs is a unique advantage.
  • Deep knowledge and insight into DREAMS programming.
  • Clean class 4 drivers’ licence, at least 2 years old.
  • Willingness to travel.
