Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Real Estate Project Manager to ensure the successful implementation of the Zimbabwe International Conference and Exhibition Smart City (ZICESC) master plan.

The individual will be reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Real Estate Project Manager is responsible for the following functions:

The overall implementation of the ZICESC master plan.
Liaising with potential funding and joint venture partners, lessees, promoters, developers and other stakeholders in developing the full master plan.
Planning and designating project resources, preparing budgets, monitoring progress, and keeping stakeholders informed.
Reviewing and recommending engineering designs, architectural, proposed plans and construction documents for approval.
Evaluating RFQs and Eols for the implementation of the project.
Analysing and recommending sites for new real estate projects.
Monitoring construction works and signing off development stages.
Preparing certificates for completion of works.
Preparing and tracking project implantation schedules to meet set targets.
Supervising developments and ensuring all necessary standards are met.
Ensuring compliance with local authority bylaws relating to real estate developments.
Ensuring compliance to regulatory, safety, health, engineering, procurement statutes and standards.
Preparing and presenting progress reports, updates and recommendations to the Real Estate Development and Maintenance Committee.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Should be a holder of a Degree in either Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or Architectural Science.
Should be a member of an Engineering Professional Association or any Engineering Board.
Should have at least 5yrs experience in a similar project or related role.
Analytical and project management skills is a must.
Must have good oral and written communication skills.
Excellent leadership and teamwork skills a must.
Interpersonal and multi-tasking abilities.
