Senior State Registered Nurse

Job Description

Our client, a leading provider of medical aid solutions is looking for a suitably qualified Senior State Registered Nurse to join their team.

Reports directly to the Medical Doctor.

The incumbent will perform the following duties, among others:

• Conducts patient assessments and review medical histories.
• Assists with in-office procedures and examinations.
• Educates patients about their health conditions and provides guidance on self-care.
• Collaborates with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Maintains accurate and up-to-date patient records and clinical documentation.
• Participates in quality improvement initiatives and ensures adherence to clinical protocols.
• Provides support and guidance to patients and their families throughout the care process.
• Case management, reviews patient applications, claims and diagnoses.
• Assisting with emergency medical cases including evacuations.

Qualifications, Experience and Competencies

• Degree or Diploma in Nursing or equivalent qualifications.
• Valid nursing licence from the relevant authorities in Zimbabwe.
• Certification in family medicine or relevant speciality is an added advantage.
• At least 5 years relevant experience in primary care or similar clinical setting.
• Strong knowledge of medical technology, patient assessment, and nursing interventions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in electronic health record systems and computers.
