Job Description

A Harare based company in the IT industry is seeking to recruit a Software Manager.

Education

5 O levels
Advanced level pass
Strictly bachelor’s degree in ICT, computer science, Information systems
Professional certificates is a must Java c++, c#, Vendors IBM, Cisco, Oracle Supervisory Training Programs MDP, SDP Project Management Education and
Certification is also an added advantage(PMP, Agile)

Management experience working with individuals and teams from diverse cultures

Duties and responsibilities

Lead and manage the software teams to deliver software solutions to customer based on users needs and project requirements
Produce weekly Manco Reports to include revenues, team productivity, issues, incidents, key learning areas and recommendations
Execution of the software strategy as agreed by the business in close collaboration with HOD.
Create, implement and maintain a continuous improvement plan for software services as defined in the departmental plan and quality objectives.
Monitoring and ensuring team certification
Responding to all software tenders and requests by customers ensuring they are submitted on time
Documentation and evaluating of project plans for all software projects
Ensuring team members are logging calls in the helpdesk system attending to all job cards logged and Customer reports completed as per indication.
Attending to customer meetings and minute action points. This includes monthly SLA meetings and Project SteerCo meetings.
Any other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Experience

At least 3 years experience in supervisor or team lead management role in an ICT environment
Completion of 3 Enterprise wide clients projects end to end including scoping, definitions and Handovers
An upto date knowledge and understanding of the employer’s business and industry needs, as well as the technical demands
Ability to research, evaluate and propose new technologies tool strategies
Experience working in a multi vendor and outsourced and multi system IT environment
Business development and team management
