Job Description

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

Reviews reporting metrics for relevancy, accuracy, timeliness, and consistency to ensure that all sustainability reports provide information that accurately depicts an organization’s ESG efforts.
Provides assurance on whether data (quantitative and qualitative) being reported is accurate, relevant, complete, and timely
Reviews that sustainability reporting provides non-financial data reporting that is consistent with formal financial disclosure filings
Conducts materiality or risk assessments on ESG reporting so that the organization has a clear understanding on how ongoing sustainability efforts or public commitments are being directed towards reaching stakeholders’ expectation
Builds an ESG control environment by recommending the frameworks to manage/mitigate ESG risks and advise on developing specific internal controls over ESG reporting.
Recommends reporting metrics by providing insights into the kind of data (quantitative and qualitative) that accurately reflect relevant sustainability efforts within the organization.
Advises on ESG governance through providing guidance on ESG governance through holistic understanding of risk across the organization.
Conducts risk-based internal audits in accordance with the approved audit plan
Performs process improvement reviews and determining compliance with company policies and procedures and relevant regulations and state legal requirements to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the business processes.
Executes internal audit assignments in line with International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing as prescribed by the Institutes of Internal Auditors (IIA) and the company’s Internal Audit Charter and methodology.
Prepares appropriate audit working papers and filing them with evidence in an audit working paper folder according to a prescribed format.
Drafts audit reports with findings, potential risks, root causes and value-adding recommendations based on a predetermined format.

JOB RELATED ATTRIBUTES

Environmental Science Degree or related Diploma from a recognized University.
At least three (3) years’ relevant working experience.
Class 4 driver’s license.
Computer literate and proficiency in MS Office is essential.
Sound communication and interpersonal skills.
