Job Description

A Harare based IT Company is looking for a Technical Services Manager.

Responsible for:

  • Carrying out daily briefing meetings with subordinates to assess work done and action items for the day.
  • Assessing and reviewing all outstanding jobs of subordinates and escalating all jobs outstanding for more than Twenty-four (24) hours.
  • Carrying out weekly performance reviews for all subordinates.
  • Recommending and drafting trainings calendar for subordinates.
  • Drafting Services & maintenance calendar for all SLA customers.
  • Assisting junior engineers with customer issues and internal issues.
  • Supervision of Student attaches and the Graduate Trainees in their areas of specialization
  • Designing and implementing computing (server and storage devices) solutions to meet the clients’ needs.
  • Designing and implementing virtualized environment solutions as per client specifications.
  • Supervision of Weekly and quarterly customer reports
  • Facilitate departmental Strategy Implementation and review.
  • Coordinates and facilitates weekly and quarterly customer visits
  • Carrying out any other duties as delegated by the Head of Department.

Incumbent *must* have the following:


  • Degree or Diploma in Information Technology or related qualification.
  • Certifications in IBM/Lenovo products or services or equivalent courses.
  • Certified or strong knowledge in Datacenter Infrastructure (Storage, SAN & servers) , Virtualization software (VMware, Hyper-V), Backup & replication solutions (VEEAM, TSM).


  • Minimum of 3 years in a similar position.
